An award for the Crisis show ‘Home’

Date Posted: Friday 22 May 2015

The group from the homeless charity, Crisis, who have been using our hall over the last year, have just been presented with a National Learner’s Award at the Scottish Parliament for their show ‘Home’ which some of us attended recently in the hall.  This is a huge encouragement to them – and they have greatly appreciated the Vestry’s decision last year (as part of our tithing) to give them the use of our hall.

‘Home’ included comedy, drama, music, video and puppetry and was based on the personal experiences Crisis’s clients, in their own words.  The project was the winner in the Learner Voice category of the 2015 Adult Learning Impact Awards.
