Christmas at Old Saint Paul’s
Date Posted: Thursday 18 December 2008
We welcome all to attend our Christmas services, celebrating the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ. Our services include:
- Service of Carols and Readings, Sunday 21 December at 6.30pm: Traditional readings, with carols both old and new, sung by candlelight, to help us prepare for Christmas.
- Children’s Crib Service, Wednesday 24 December at 4pm: An informal Christmas Eve service for children, during which the Christmas Crib is prepared.
- First Mass of Christmas, Wednesday 24 December at 11.30pm: The always popular Midnight Mass of Christmas celebrated by candlelight. The choir sings Mozart’s Missa brevis in F; and there are popular traditional carols for all to sing. The Christmas Crib is dedicated at the end of the service, which concludes with the evergreen Silent night.
- Family Christmas Mass, Thursday 25 December at 10.30am: An informal service on Christmas morning for children and young families. The Christmas story with popular Christmas music.
We look forward to welcoming old and new friends. Baptised members of all churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion at our services.
Please see Forthcoming Services for details of these and all services at Old Saint Paul’s.
