Fairtrade Church
Date Posted: Sunday 27 January 2008
Old Saint Paul has been awarded a certificate by the Fairtrade Foundation, recognising its status as a Fairtrade Church. This achievement has taken the co-operation and support of many church groups and members of the congregation. Being a Fairtrade Church means that:
- We use Fairtrade tea and coffee for all meetings for which we have responsibility.
- We also use Fairtrade sugar and are starting introduce regular use of Fairtrade biscuits at all meetings.
- We promote Fairtrade during Fairtrade Fortnight and hold a stall selling Fairtrade goods once a month.
Certificates are displayed in the church hall and on the doors leading up to the church.
