Stairlift access

We have a stairlift on the Calvary Stair. This makes the church accessible from the Jeffrey Street entrance if you are a wheelchair user or otherwise unable to use stairs. There will be a welcomer on hand at the start of our Sunday services to assist you if you are unfamiliar with the equipment.  If you require stairlift access for weddings, funerals and other events, please let us know at the time of booking.

If you would like more information about the stairlift or have other accessibility questions, please contact the office.

Accessing services online

Anyone who is unable to join us in person is welcome to join us online. Our Sunday services are streamed via YouTube and our weekday services are streamed via Facebook live. You do not need accounts to use either of these services and automated captions can be activated on both.

Hearing aid loop

We use an induction hearing aid loop in our Sunday services. This system does not work with modern hearing aids, but we are working to improve our current system.

Large print and braille

We have large print service sheets and hymn books.

Guide and service dogs

All guide and service dogs are very welcome to join us.

Usual location of children's activities

The usual room used for children's activities is accessed via steps.   If this will be an issue for your family, please contact us so we can move the children's activities to an accessible room.

Children with Additional Support Needs

Some children could have Additional Support Needs which the Sunday School and creche team may need to be aware of.  If this is the case then parents/ carers may wish to discuss these, in confidence, with the Children’s Worker and / or the Clergy Team.

Toilets

We have toilets at the back of the church and in the church hall. In both the church and church hall we have

  • male and female toilets
  • accessible unisex toilet
  • baby changing facilities
  • potties and equipment to help children use the toilets
