Advent and Christmas 2020 at Old Saint Paul’s

This year, Old Saint Paul’s will be offering its usual Advent and Christmas worship. You can access this both in person and online, with the usual guidance and restrictions on numbers in church. For information about current pandemic restrictions on worship, please see our post on safe worship. Larger services including Sung Mass and carol services require pre-registration. For smaller services such as Evensong & Benediction, we will register your details at the door.

Returning safely to communal worship

We will also be offering additional services suitable for families and children.

Links to online services will appear on our Online Resources page on the day of the service.

Advent

On each Sunday of Advent, we will be lighting a candle in the Advent wreath at Sung Mass in anticipation of Christmas.

On the First Sunday of Advent, 29 November, you are warmly invited to join our Advent Carol service at 6:30pm via YouTube. A feast of readings, poetry and music for the season.

On subsequent Sundays, our usual 6:30pm service of Evensong & Benediction will return. A single cantor will sing the office in line with current guidelines.
